Harvest Conferences

One part of the mission of Harvest is to "Provide a resource t othe local church." Harvest Conferences sponsors conferences throughout the year for both youth and adult youth workers.

• Fire Up! Youth Conference - Held each February, this is a conference for high school youth.
• The Light Kids Conference - This conference is for children in grades 1st - 5th grades. The conference is normally held at several locations in the spring.
• Ignition Middle School Conference - This conference is for children in grades 6th- 8th grades.
• Worship Conference - The Worship Conference is a one day event designed with the local church worship ministry team in mind. Bring (or send) your worship pastor, volunteer worship leader, praise band members, tech team members, worship committee team, pastor, children's music leaders, and any others who want to take another step on the journey! We have assembled some of the areas most gifted leaders who are willing to serve during this event through seminars, presentations and conversations.
• The Well for Youth Workers - The Well is a seminar for veteran and beginning youth pastors youth directors, youth ministry team members and anyone else involved in youth ministry, both paid and volunteer. The purpose of The Well is to offer an "equipping and encouraging" time for youth workers, close to home and relatively inexpensive. The Well is also a great place to attend to build relationships with others in youth ministry.

Harvest Worship Band

Led by Tim Price, Director of Harvest Ministry Teams and Worship Design Pastor of Troy UMC, and comprised of ministry minded young adults, Harvest Worship Band leads congregations in dynamic praise and meaningful worship.

The Harvest Worship Band is available for camps, retreats, youth events, church services, and conferences. To book the Harvest Worship Band, please use the Booking Form or contact Tim Price (tim@harvestconferences.org).

Harvest Summer Teams

We invite young adults to apply and serve, as a short-term missionary, on a Harvest Summer Team for eight weeks. After a week of training, those young adults are sent out in teams to serve at camps, churches, and retreats all over the country. It is full time life on the "ministry road" that helps shape and equip the team members for future ministries.
During the school year, we pull from the pool of young adults who have been connected to the ministry and form teams to serve as a worship band for conferences, church services, youth ministry events and other ministry opportunities.

Meet the 2009 Harvest Summer Team!

 

Tim Price

Since graduating from Asbury Seminary in 1998, I have had a call to "be a resource to the church" in a variety of different ways. I praise the Lord for the opportunities I have had to minister to students, children, worship leaders, pastors, youth ministry leaders and others in the local church. In addition to serving as the Director for Harvest Ministry Teams, I also serve part-time on the Troy United Methodist Church staff, which allows about 26 Sundays of each calendar year to be free for ministry around the conference. Though it sounds simple, my basic passion is to be a "church helper," making it possible for everything to be in place so that people are able to connect with God through the ministry of the local church.
